Our Teachers

All of our teachers are passionate about music and the development of children.

We create a fun, informal, social setting that spurs engagement and supports each child's musical development.

Colleen loves music and loves kids! So when she took her oldest to Music Together® classes when he was a baby, she knew that she had found the "job" of her dreams. For over 12 years, Colleen has been teaching and directing at West County Music Together where she has brought hundreds of families together in community to share their love of music with their children and she has loved every minute of it!

photo Brooke

Brooke grew up performing in Musical Theater productions around NYC, NJ, and PA. This exposure and exploration of music changed her life and she is thrilled to be able to share her experience with children so early in their musical development. Currently, she performs locally with her duo Brooke and the Caterpillar encompassing Showtunes, Jazz, Irish, Blues, Folk, and Old-Time music. She has recently joined the all-female quartet HomeBrew as their lead singer and guitarist. In addition, Brooke is currently writing a musical about the various ways of saying Hello and Goodbye and is looking forward to welcoming you to her class!

photo Jen

Jen is a Waldorf certified early childhood educator and musician. She began playing music at a young age, beginning with the recorder, and moving to cello, clarinet, piano, and guitar. She currently plays electric bass and sings in several Bay Area groups, and is learning to play the ukelele. Jen has worked with infants - 6 year olds in various classroom settings for the past 10 years, and is excited to bring together two of her passions - music and children - in teaching with Music Together. Jen believes we are all musical beings, that music is all of our birthright. Her intent is to inspire people of all ages to enjoy creating music, and through music, sharing community.

photo Liz

Liz has been an arts educator for the past 15 years and a musician, dancer, actor and storyteller since she was almost as young as most of our students.  As a mother of two joyously musical Music Together participants herself, she is continually in awe of the beauty and gentle power that this method of music education holds for all ages.  She is delighted to bring her passion and experience to Sebastopol's Music Together community and looks forward to singing with you in class!
